About this deal

The characters all contained a little darkness, and I was captivated as each layer of deceit was stripped away . But ultimately she can't question what she loves and that was the life she had, as her husband's wife and mother to her children.

New romantic liaisons are formed, as are legal ones, none of which will surprise the careful reader . I could not put it down, it was so relaxing and engaging to read and I marvel at Jane's plot development and story telling. This is the first novel of Amanda Prowse’s I’ve ever read, but I guarantee you it won’t be the last. You may not always approve of what is going on or how the characters respond to situations but Amanda is an expert at providing a balanced, well presented view to all sides of the story. I think there could have been a bigger build up to the actual falling-apart of the relationship, which would have created a bigger emotional impact for me.

Brooks presents a case for making room for Bigfoot in the world while peppering his narrative with timely social criticism about bad behavior on the human side of the conflict: The explosion of Rainier might have been better forecast had the president not slashed the budget of the U.

You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. I won’t say any more about what and how many things go wrong and what horrible spineless creatures some characters turn out to be you can find all that out when you read My Husband’s wife. She also makes countless guest appearances on BBC national and independent Radio stations including LBC, Times Radio and Talk FM, where she is well known for her insightful observations and her infectious humour. She did what any one of us would do, she went to pieces and then all those little pieces collapsed around her when one by one she starts to lose everything and everyone else that she hold dear as well. Jane Corry worked in a high security male prison and her experiences there have given her an edge for detail.I could easily sit and read anything by her any day of the week, with a nice cup of hot chocolate (marshmallows included! In my opinion, the characters weren't particularly well developed either; in fact throughout the book the character descriptions and/or behaviours were so inconsistent I had to keep flipping back and forth to try to understand them; I never did get a handle on them. I would say she is comparable to Jodi Picoult without the courtroom drama element present in her earlier books.

How can she contemplate life without the man who has always been by her side through the good times and bad. The other characters within the book were also well portrayed and I loved how some of them behaved in the complete opposite way to which I was expecting them too. I'm neither a wife nor a mother so it's testament to the superb writing of the author that I could immerse myself so easily in the story of Rosie and feel her pain and anguish as she asks what is there really left in my life now that everything I have held so dear and nurtured has been taken away from me? The story is centred around Rosie whose world disintegrates when the husband she loves, Phil, leaves her and takes their daughters, Naomi and Leona with him.

My Husband’s Wife is an exciting and compelling thriller about the ways in our experiences in childhood can affect us all our lives. Her neighboring BFF who consistently backs the OW and whose form of banter with the h is abusive, if you ask me. That’s when this novel’s seemingly unending trove of delicious disasters and deceits meld to reveal what all these characters are hiding . Heavner isn’t exactly mollified when Tempe, aided by retired police detective Skinny Slidell and a host of experts, puts a name to the dead man.

Just when you think nothing else can happen to make things worse for her, something happens to make her feel even more alone. Hopefully, like me, they will also find My Husband's Wife a thought-provoking, insightful look into modern day extended family relationships brilliantly written and ultimately uplifting. I though the beginning, where we are shown Rosie’s normal, happy life, was a little slow, but once her husband leaves, the pace picks up, and I literally couldn’t put it down, until I reached the end.I received an advance review copy of this book courtesy of Netgalley and Head of Zeus in exchange for an honest review. I suppose Rosie's own childhood and how she feels about the past slightly affected how she dealt with the present. Indeed, the novel does double duty as a survival manual, packed full of good advice—for instance, try not to get wounded, for “injury turns you from a giver to a taker.
